Athletics at BCHS is a vital part of the life of our school.

One distinctive that sets athletics at BCHS apart from other high schools is the fact that we believe Jesus Christ is the foundation on which we build our teams. We also believe the athletic field is an extension and complement to the classroom. Thus, our student athletes are challenged to be outstanding representatives of Christ in their work ethic, commitment and citizenship on and off the athletic courts and fields.

BCHS has three seasons of sports. Teams compete in the South Yosemite League and the California Interscholastic Federation Central Section. (Prior to fall 2018, BCHS competed in the South Sequoia League.) We have a total of 37 teams playing in 22 sports, 11 boys and 11 girls.

Each year, approximately 75 percent of our students participate in sports. In addition to multiple section and league championships each year, BCHS' football team was the CIF State Champion Div4 in 2019,  SoCal Regional Champion and State Runner-up in 2013 and 2016. BCHS moved to the South Yosemite League in 2019 and won 10 league titles plus boys golf won valley championship.
