We are delighted to see everyone back to campus life this week after restful holidays. Having shared their holiday stories, students and teachers have kicked off the Chinese New Year Celebration. Students across the grades began decorating their classrooms with narcissus buds and paper cutting works. Practicing ink brushes, children wrote the Chinese character “Fu” (福), wishing happiness and good fortune. To mark the lunar year of the mouse, students also learned the origins of Chinese Zodiac. On Thursday, children made spring rolls with red bean and vegetable fillings, which is a way to welcome the arrival of spring. Students look forward to more lunar new year celebrations taking place next week.
